SWC Winter Soiree

We invite you to a January Winter Soiree!  Shake off the post-holiday blues and join us for food, fun and SWC friends. Lori Burr has offered to host this event in her beautiful home in Southlake. Enjoy delicious catered food and drinks, a professional photographer and free valet parking!  Don't put away those party dresses just yet, cocktail attire is recommended. Members may purchase 2 tickets at the membership price of $50.  All other guests must purchase tickets at the guest price of $60. Note - This event replaces the Red Carpet Glam event cancelled in December.

February Luncheon

Our February luncheon is sure to provide you with a very unique experience! We have a rare opportunity to hear an internationally known interior designer, Nancy Weinstein, speak on Designing Your Home with a Global Perspective. Nancy will give us some insights into how she earned the name “The Ambassador of Design” by the Los Angeles Times.  Nancy is widely recognized as an international interior designer and ground-breaking entrepreneur. Living and working in China for 15 years, Nancy founded Nancy’s Lifestyles to present the American lifestyle to Chinese consumers in her 12,000 sq ft showroom in Shanghai with massive success. She also produced and hosted her own TV show called Nancy’s Lifestyles for China TV. Nancy has been called the Martha Stewart of China.  We are very fortunate to have someone of Nancy's experience and knowledge speak to our group! Strokes of Art

Southlake Women's Club is celebrating our 20th year of Art in the Square with a kickoff event filled with music, food and unique works of art from this year’s featured artists. The Strokes of Art in the Square 2019 will be held at Southlake Town Hall on Sunday, February 17 from 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The Southlake Women’s Club Foundation will present the 2019 Beneficiaries of Art in the Square. As in past years, guests will be the first to view creative visuals of the 2019 Art in the Square featured artists. This year’s showcase of featured artists will take on a different twist: the displayed artwork will feature returning artists who have participated in Art in the Square for at least 15 years. February Social – Chili & Dessert Cook Off

Calling all cooks!  It's chili and dessert cook off time!  Last year we had a blast and two fine cooks won $100 a piece for their efforts.  Come show us what you got!  Grab your “plus one” and join fellow SWC members & guests for a good old fashioned cook off!  There will be one winner for BEST CHILI and one winner for BEST DESSERT. IMPORTANT NOTES BEFORE YOU RSVP: You do not have to compete to attend!  We need tasters to sample the goods and vote for their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice for BEST CHILI and 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice for BEST DESSERT.  Tasters need to COME HUNGRY!! Attention NEW members! Want to know to know more about getting the most out of being a member of Southlake Women's Club?  We have just the solution! Please plan to attend the New Member Coffee on Tuesday, February 26th.  This is a great opportunity to get familiar with the events and activities that you won't want to miss. The Southlake Women's Club and each of our members welcome you to our club.  We will be available to answer any questions you may have regarding club involvement and volunteering for important events such as Art in the Square, senior Valentine luncheon, socials and our other community outreach projects. Come join us for our March luncheon and learn about some of our members that are the movers and shakers in our community AND be entered in a drawing for some awesome prizes! Only 10 Sponsor Tables Available - Cost $100 plus cost of member luncheon (total $125). November Social at Lone Star Park – Members Plus One

Join us for a night at the races - in a private suite! Enjoy the thrill of live quarter horse racing from the best seats in the house!  Once the gates open at 5:00, you will be treated to delicious appetizers in the suite as you strategize on the upcoming races, which begin at 6:05.  Appetizers include chips, guacamole, salsa, fruit and cheese platters and shrimp cocktail. An extensive dinner buffet will open in the common suite area after the National Anthem at approximately 6:45. Please join us for happy hour.  RA Sushi will provide some appetizers and drinks are pay as you go.  Come out and meet old friends and make some new ones. Holiday Luncheon

Join us for a fabulous luncheon at the beautiful La Cima Club in Las Colinas! Be sure to wear something festive and bring along some holiday cheer!  Enjoy a delicious buffet luncheon with wine and cocktails available for purchase. We are doing a raffle for some awesome prizes with proceeds going to benefit our community outreach program.  If you would like to donate a raffle prize, please contact Mary Porter (see newsletter for contact info). Raffle tickets are available for pre-purchase along with your luncheon ticket. Purchase your luncheon and raffle tickets now! Late registration begins on Monday, December 9th at 5:00 pm with luncheon prices increasing to $45 for members and $50 for guests.

January Luncheon – 2020

Make sure to attend the first meeting of 2020! After recording the most successful year ever for our School Supply Sale, checks from the proceeds will be presented to the CISD principals. Come and hear what the principals plan to do with these funds.  It is always heartwarming to hear the positive impact SWC has on our schools. As a bonus, we will be entertained by comedian Southlake police officer Brad Uptmore.  Officer Uptmore is the award-winning face behind social media for the Southlake Police Department.  Many of us were highly entertained when he spoke at our luncheon last October.  He promises to have some "new material" and you don't want to miss that!
